Recycled Brown Paper Art Journals
One of my favourite creations!
I take a sheet of recycled brown paper, put it through a number of various processes including: painting with dyes, inks, paints and other materials and then seal and wax it. I am constantly surprised by the beautiful results as the different materials react with and against each other. The sealing and waxing processes ensure that the final piece is strong and durable yet flexible. Richly textured, the look and feel creates a lot of conversation!

I'm now combining these pieces with the beautiful, silky feel bamboo wadding. Bamboo is such a wonderful renewable resource. Anti bacterial, very strong yet fine and silky soft. I just love combining these two materials. It feels like a gift to our planet! And they're a joy to use.

Brown Paper Art covers are bonded to beautiful silky feel Bamboo Wadding and edge stitched all around with embroidery thread. This results in a beautiful soft, thick and luxurious look and feel to the journal.
