These pieces are then bonded to either beautiful silky feel natural coloured Bamboo Lining, or Black Felt.
2 pockets of hand painted tyvek (very strong & durable) or fabric are added, one having an additional 3rd smaller pocket to hold pens and other items.
Finally, a binding is stitched with embroidery thread around the outer edge and the piece is finished with a closure.

Some of the papers seem to take on a personality of their own as they go through the processes. Different mediums (dyes, inks, watercolours, paints) react with and against each other. I am constantly surprised at the intricate results. I don't feel that I can take all the credit - I just put the materials in place and they create their designs as they dry.
